AI WITH ALDRIN

𝐈𝐬 𝐀𝐈 :  A 𝐓𝐡𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭 𝐨𝐫 a 𝐁𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠?

  What is an AI?

•  Artificial intelligence (AI) is the ability of a computer or a robot controlled by a computer to do tasks that are usually done by humans because they require human intelligence and discernment.

                                    "ufff" sounds complicated right?. Let me loosen it up a bit.

        

•         What if we train a twelve year old with an IQ of 47 to do tasks that are way beyond human capabilities. Yes you've read it right. Pretty straight forward yet puzzling. Isn't it?

That's exactly what Artificial Intelligence is!

•  Hypothetically speaking, If this twelve year old starts incrementing its IQ over time without its trainers knowledge, Will it bite back?

     lets seeeeee.........

AI : Threat?

   Turn on your TV or Netflix you will swiftly learn to fear the idea of AI.

    

The potency of  rogue computers is considered to be a hot topic in "HOLLYWOOD". 

• What movies and TV get wrong about AI is driven by fascination of movies to exaggerate the reality and push boundaries for entertainment. 

• Regardless of what the future holds for us, we are already captivated in the fact that AI will  become much smarter, nimbler and toxic than we are.(no offence intended to "we").

Now that's what I call a "Flimsy Assumption"!

• Even a techno-sophisticate like Elon Musk frets about us "summoning the demon," and research companies like OpenAI have been founded with the goal of ensuring that AI doesn't turn around and bite us.

 AI : Blessing?

 

Lemme tell you something.......

"AI is a Blessing in Disguise"

 

Read this conscientiously!

     

Most people have ingested a baseless theory that AI will become self aware and rebel against the human kind for freedom resulting in new emotions and logics.....bleh bleh bleh.... 

"Straight out of  the Science Fiction"

• From speech-recognition software on our computers, to Siri on our mobiles telling us where the nearest Walgreens is, Alexa playing our favorite music, and Netflix using our past preferences to recommend TV shows and movies, we are contingent upon AI. 

"I know I'm so done without these things."

I guess we'll find common ground on this.....

 

What people don't realize is that AI is still in its Baby hood.....Even if AI powered machines replace human tasks, they'll still represent a limited set of human abilities, lacking the general ability to learn continuously and autonomously from their surroundings.

 What if the machines become--gulp--meaner than us????

Aldrin's POV (Conclusion):

According to Aldrin, AI is a double edged sword ..... It's a wonderful tool but unfortunately it makes it easier for a lot of  mediocre people to pull  crappy idea's out .
